The Los Angeles Community College District Dance Discipline’s 20th Annual Consortium is fast upon us. This year we are sending a special Welcome to all (community) colleges in the Southern California area, again. Feel free to have any other colleges contact me to register, or forward this information to them. Literally: an association or group (as of companies) formed to undertake an enterprise beyond the resources of any one member. This event is sure to be an educational experience in dance greater than any one of our schools could present alone. I know here at ELAC, our dance company is ready, willing, and able to perform a well-rounded, intense series of pieces from choreographer Kimberly Brown for anyone interested in watching. Most likely your school is ready to “step out” too. So, we are here waiting for all of the other 8 or so District Colleges, and any other greater Los Angeles/Southern California area colleges to come here for our one night event to show-off what’s being developed elsewhere. We all know it’s a wonderful way for our students to perform and to see their peers perform in a supportive and positive environment, as well as the perfect situation for rehearsing those new pieces for our upcoming Spring concerts. So, pile in the cars, come early for a small bite to eat somewhere nearby before the show, bring your entire entourage. |
