 This Jazz Dance class is an open-level technique class which will give all students the opportunity relative to their individual abilities to learn, understand, practice, and develop technical skills in contemporary Jazz styles, traditional movement terms, neuromuscular coordination, and kinesthetic sense.

Course Name: DanceTQ 446

 In this class we will focus on a four part method of developing essential tap dancing techniques and finally performing rhythm-based tap dance choreography. A major focus will be elements of the world famous “Shim Sham Shimmy” created in 1929 by Leonard reed.

Course Name: DanceTQ 333/225

 This Pilates and Yoga class will give all students the opportunity relative to their individual abilities to learn and understand, the motor skills of posture, placement, positioning, balance, coordination, agility, and stamina.

 Through the use of traditional ballet exercises in the center of the floor, students will become more flexible, and fit while developing essential motor skills. Exercises that strengthen and lengthen the upper body will also be performed.

Course Name: Dance TQ 440

This Social Dance class is usually a practical exploration of several common styles of dance typically used in a social setting. Depending on your class, this semester may cover American Tango, Mambo/Boogaloo, and Swing, or Argentine tango, and American Rhumba.

This Hip-Hop Dance class is an open-level technique class which will give all students the opportunity relative to their individual abilities to learn, understand, practice, and develop technical skills in contemporary dance styles, traditional movement terms, neuromuscular development, and kinesthetic sense. The motor skills of posture, placement, balance, coordination, agility, and stamina will be developed.
