In this class we will focus on a four part method of developing essential tap dancing techniques and finally performing rhythm-based tap dance choreography. A major focus will be elements of the world famous “Shim Sham Shimmy” created in 1929 by Leonard reed. |

This Dance class is an beginning-level technique and conditioning class which will give all students the opportunity relative to their individual abilities to learn, understand, practice, and develop technical skills in pilates utilizing Joseph Pilates’ methods to develop the motor skills of alignment, balance, coordination, posture, placement, agility, and stamina. |

This Hip-Hop Dance class is an open-level technique class which will give all students the opportunity relative to their individual abilities to learn, understand, practice, and develop technical skills in contemporary dance styles, traditional movement terms, neuromuscular development, and kinesthetic sense. The motor skills of posture, placement, balance, coordination, agility, and stamina will be developed. |

This class is a open-level lecture/lab exploration of the choreographic processes utilized in the development of movement phrases that communicate ideas. This class will give all students, relative to their individual abilities, the opportunity to learn, understand, practice and develop technical skills in the art of making dances—choreographing. |

These Salsa classes are a practical exploration of the common and codified style of Cuban/Caribbean Salsa called Rueda de Casino. Rueda is typically used in a social setting with at least two couples. 489 is called Salsa Casino because you will be learning Salsa through Casino Rueda. 490 at this time will focus on the same with an emphasis on the basic movements. |
