Performance

Exam 3 Fall 2025 Yoga for Dance

with Rick Crawford

Description:

We are creating this exercise for Performance on November 20:

  1. 12th Week: There should be no classwork conflicts after the Midterm

    1. and before this group-work project.

  2. You will have four (4) weeks (not counting the weekend)

    1. to meet with your Group three times*.

We are learning to assess each other’s performance of learned exercises and skills by using the Rubric for Dance Conditioning. This is a Formative Assessment, which gives you time and feedback to make corrections to your own execution of movement techniques from this class during the following weeks of the semester:

Your comments to each other and to each other’s groups should be applied during your own Final Examination by the end of the semester. These activities should help you better understand the Principles of Yoga from this class.

Assignment:  You must adhere to these instructions for your complete grade*:

As described literally from the ELAC Dance technique course curriculum, “Students demonstrate an understanding of the techniques learned in this class by working in groups to synthesize the movement patterns into uniquely different performances.” Students discuss and evaluate the performances of each group or individual and provide feedback. This is a performance and evaluation of selected combinations of movement covered in the class during the semester.
